€72,000 allocated for coastal erosion study in Strandhill and Easkey



€72,000 has been allocated to carry out a coastal erosion study in Strandhill and Easkey.

The Sligo Bay Coastal Erosion and Flood Risk Management Study is being funded by the Office of Public Works.

The aim is to see what works need to be carried out to prevent any further damage.

Blaine Gaffney is a member of the Standhill Coastal Erosion Committee.

Speaking to OceanFM News, he says the study will look at a number of different areas for potential improvements.
