Four new centres for water activities to be built in the region



Four new modern centres for beach and lake goers are to be built in the region.

Each centre will provide facilities such as secure storage, hot showers and changing and toilet facilities.

Under a €19m investment from Failte Ireland, 22 new centres in total are to be built nationally.

Acres Lake in Drumshanbo Co. Leitrim, Tullan Strand in Donegal along with Enniscrone and Rosses Point in Sligo are to benefit from the funding.

Constituency Spokesperson and National Coordinator of the Green Party, Blathin Gallagher, says the new centres will bring many benefits to their local areas.

Minister of State at the Department of Health, Frank Feighan says more people have being getting active during the pandemic and these new centres will make things more accessible for people.
