Code of Practice not protecting workers enough

The right to disconnect from work should be enshrined into law.

Sligo/Leitrim Local Area Representative with the Labour party, Nessa Cosgrove, says the newly introduced Code of Practice is a positive first step but it doesn’t go far enough to protect workers.

Labour’s Working From Home (Covid-19) Bill would make it a legal right to only work the hours contracted to as well as provide a flat payment to cover costs in setting up a home work station.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Nessa Cosgrove believes the bill would especially protect younger workers.
