Claremorris show the latest to fall victim to Covid



Another major agricultural show has fallen by the wayside for 2021.

This year’s staging of the Claremorris Agricultural Show is has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

The event one of the highlights of the year for farmers west of the Shannon and was due to be held on the August Bank Holiday Sunday.

It has been cancelled for a second year in a row.

The show, which celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2018, is regarded as one of the leading events of its type in the west and northwest.

The show officers and committee in a statement thanked all those who have supported the event down the year’s and confirmed that the 102nd Claremorris Agricultural Show is now fixed for Bank Holiday Weekend Sunday July 31st 2022.
