Major Biden visit to the North West

There are fears Ireland’s corporation tax rate may be undermined by new proposals by US President Joe Biden.

He has put forward the idea of a minimum rate for American multinationals operating from other countries.

It would mean that Ireland’s current rate of 12.5 percent may not be as relevant to foreign direct investment.

It’s part of a two-trillion-dollars infrastructure plan announced by the US President last night, which he says will help equality.

Meanwhile the tranquillity of the north west of Ireland is being tested in a new pilot project aimed at calming what have been dog days recently at the White House in Washington, D.C.

A key part of the project involves a special invite having been issued to US President Joe Biden’s Dog, Major, to spend time in the North West where it’s hoped he could address his recent anger management issues.

The German Sheppard is believed to be struggling to adjust to life in the White House and has allegedly been involved in two biting incidents in his new home.

Manorhamilton Independent Councillor Felim Gurn lived in the US for a number of years.  He believes the dog should be brought to the North West during President Biden’s upcoming visit to Ireland.

The Manorhamilton animal rights activist believes if the vacation is successful in addressing Majors anger management issues, an expanded programme targeting other disturbed US canines could be rolled out, possibly with support from the government’s rural regeneration programme announced earlier this week.

A number of local farming groups have already expressed concern in relation to the safety of farm animals including sheep if such dogs from the US are allowed to roam on local green ways.
