X-Ray facilities will return to Donegal Town and Ballyshannon.
No XRays have not been conducted in the respective South Donegal towns since the start of 2021 due to Covid-19 and staffing issues.
The HSE have confirmed that the Ballyshannon XRay facilities will operated under the control of Sligo University Hospital on a temporary basis.
The HSE also say a radiographer from Dungloe will provide a service in Donegal Town Hospital for 3 days every fortnight.
People from Killybegs where the facility has also been paused will be facilitated for XRays in Donegal Town Hospital.
Donegal Municipal District, Independent Councillor Tom Conaghan says it’s vital that people in South Donegal are able to have XRays carried out locally.
