The Irish Shows Association has issued a statement today calling on the government to provide clarity on on the inclusion of events in the National Framework for living with Covid-19.
The statement says that after consultation with members, the board of the ISA has no choice at this time but to advise it’s members that shows should not to run in 2021, until such time as the appropriate authorities deem that it is safe to do so.
Michael Harte is the chairperson of the County Sligo Agricultural Show, which is held annually in Riverstown.
