Sligo IFA hold online AGM tonight



The annual general meeting of Sligo IFA will take place online this evening at 8:00pm.

Guest speaker for the meeting is the Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue.

The Minister will make his address in the first part of the meeting due to time constraints.

The second part of the night will be the business end of the AGM.

Elsewhere, applications are now being accepted for the government’s scheme for the agri-food sector.

This scheme has been established in recognition of the sector’s exposure to the impact of Brexit.

Up to 70 million euro is available under the first round of funding which is being administered by Enterprise Ireland.

The scheme is open to all medium or small enterprises engaged in the marketing or processing of primary meat and dairy products.
