Over 7 million euro has been allocated to the Counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal under the new rural active travel investment programme.
5.3 million euro worth of funding has been announced for Donegal, 2.5 million for Sligo and 2.2 million for Leitrim.
The funding will be used for new cycle ways and walkways in all the North West Counties.
