Latest 14 day incidence rate



The 14 day incidence rate per 100,000 people has increased in two local electoral areas in the north west.

The latest daily figures show less than 5 new cases were recorded in both Sligo and Leitrim with 57 in Donegal.

The 14 day rate, accurate as of the 22nd of March, shows the Sligo/Strandhill local electoral area has increased to 142, it was 94.7 two weeks ago while Sligo/Drumcliffe has gone from 39.6 to 62.2.

Ballymote/Tubbercurry is on 74.8; the Manorhamilton electoral area of Leitrim is on 64.7 while South Donegal is on 45.3; a significant decrease compared to two weeks ago when the figure there was 249.

According to HSE figures, as of 6.30pm yesterday evening, there was no critical care beds available in Sligo University Hospital with one available in Letterkenny University Hospital.
