A Sligo Councillor wants safety issues along the Union to Ballisodare Road to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh, says the route is dangerous for residents, walkers and cyclists who frequently use the area.
He says Sligo County Council are to carry out a speed assessment which will determine what safety measures are needed.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Walsh says speed is a particular issue in the area.
