Final group of residents and staff moving back to Ballyshannon nursing unit

The final group of residents and staff are moving from the Sheil Hospital in Ballyshannon to the newly refurbished and improved Ballyshannon community nursing unit.

The upgraded facility can accommodate twenty seven residents in a combination of single shared bedrooms with ensuite facilities.

Capital project works can now also begin in the Sheil Hospital.

Ballyshannon Based Fine Gael Councillor and Leas Cathoirleach of the Donegal Municipal District, Barry Sweeney, says great progress is being made at the Sheil Hospital.
