NPHET concerned with Hospital admissions



The National Public Health Emergency Team  have expressed concerns about Covid-19 hospital admissions.

 

There were 360 people with the virus in hospital yesterday, after the number rose for two days in a row.

 

85 are in ICU, while 575 new cases were confirmed yesterday and no additional deaths.

 

5 people being treated for Covid-19 at Sligo University Hospital, there are 3 in ICU.

Meanwhile 3 people are being treated in Letterkenny University Hospital with two in ICU.

 

There were 20 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Donegal yesterday, 7 in Sligo and less than 5 in Leitrim.

 

443.092 people have now received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and 163,812 have received their second jab at this stage.

 

Professor Philip Nolan, who chairs NPHET’s modelling group, says he’s concerned at the hospital situation.
