Gurn calls for further examination of Climate Change Bill



A Leitrim councillor says people in rural Ireland need alternatives when it comes to heating their homes.

 

Independent Councillor, Felim Gurn, was responding to a section of the new Climate Change Bill that would not allow chimneys to be constructed on to new houses.

 

The Manorhamilton businessman and councillor believes that there needs to be more thought put into the proposals to cover situations such as residents being left without electricity for extended periods and how they would heat their homes in such a situation.
