Health official urges people not to drop their guard despite Covid cases dropping and vaccine rollout

A top public health official in the north west is urging people not to become complacent in their efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The warning comes after no new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Sligo, Leitrim or Donegal yesterday.

Director of Public Health HSE North West, Dr. Anthony Breslin says the latest figures show that with co-operation from everyone, it is possible to reduce the number of cases.

But he told Ocean FM News people have to remain vigilant, despite case numbers dropping and the vaccine being rolled out.
