Gardaí have received reports from people across the region about a telephone scam claiming to be from Amazon.
The call appears to come from a Dublin number and an automated voice claims that your Amazon Prime subscription is due and to follow the instructions; the company will never contact customers in this way.
People are advised to hang up and not engage in any action asked of them as it may compromise their bank accounts.
