Some rural GP practices still without vaccines

It’s been claimed that some small GP practices in rural areas are losing out when it comes to obtaining supplies of Covid-19 vaccinations.

Blacklion, Co Cavan-based Fianna Fail Councillor John Paul Feeley says he has received queries about vaccine availability from family members of people in the over-80 and over-70 categories.

He told Ocean FM News he initially thought this was an issue within a GP practice.

But he says he was later contacted by a GP in a small practice who confirmed he has yet to receive a single Covid-19 vaccine.

Cllr Feeley outlined what constituents and GPs have been telling him.
