Markings and signs are being placed on a number of roads in north Sligo as part of the effort to get motorists to slow down at dangerous locations.
Motorists are being advised that with brighter evenings, dry weather and the Covid restrictions, there are now more people, particularly pedestrians, on the roads.
Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says road markings are being put down in Grange and at Lissadell Park on the Oxfield Road at Carney.
