Healy calls for Post office reviews to be scrapped



A Sligo Councillor has called for An Post to scrap it’s plans to review the viability of post offices this summer in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Sligo Drumcliff Councillor Thomas Healy is calling for Post Office contracts need to be extended to cover lockdown periods.

 

The Sinn Fein Councillor is  urging the Minster for Communications, Eamon Ryan to extend the contracts automatically adding that Postmasters in the North West have witnessed their income dramatically reduced in times.
