The Department of health has confirmed that 686 additional cases of Covid-19 were detected in the Republic of Ireland yesterday.
31 of the new cases were allocated to Donegal and 8 to Sligo. Fewer than 5 cases were confirmed in Leitrim.
There was one further death from Covid-19 reported in yesterday’s figures.
214,384 people have now received their first Covid-19 vaccination while 126,320 people have received their second dose.
There are 10 patients being treated in both Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals for Covid-19. There is one patient in the ICU unit in Sligo and 2 in ICU at Letterkenny.
