Funding announced to ease Sligo traffic disruption

Minister of State and Sligo/Leitrim TD Frank Feighan says the provision of a quarter million euro this week to prepare for construction of a proposed new bridge across the Garavogue River is another move toward resolving traffic congestion in and around Sligo town.

Minister Feighan says the new bridge, together with the recently opened Western Distributor Road and major work currently taking place at Hughes Bridge and the Rosses Point/Duck Street junctions with the N15 will all eventually combine to improve traffic flow.
