Commitment from UK & EU to implement Protocol

The EU and the UK say they’re ‘fully committed’ to implementing the Northern Ireland Protocol.

It’s after their negotiators met in London last night and had a ‘frank but constructive discussion’.

They’re promising to address problems the new checks on goods have caused for businesses in the North.

Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney is welcoming the outcome of the meeting.

Midlands North West MEP Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan is also in favour of a positive outcome being achieved from the talks.
