A Sligo councillor is calling for fencing to be repaired along one of Sligo’s most popular beach areas to prevent children and others going near dangerous sand dunes.
The dunes at Strandhill are unstable because of coastal erosion and Fianna Fail Councillor Tom MacSharry says the fencing preventing access to the dunes needs to be fixed as soon as possible, and certainly before next summer.
