Fallon unhappy with assessment of Needs to children.

A Leitrim Councillor has hit out at the government’s failure to meet its statutory obligations in providing Assessment of Needs to children.

Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon says €700,000 of taxpayers money was spent to defend the state against families whose children have not had Assessment of Needs provided to them.

The North Leitrim Councillor is currently working with a number of families impacted by the situation.

He says the fact that the Government can spend tax payers money to defend the state against families whose children have not received this basic right is a terrible reflection on the Country.
