The inaugural Colm Horkan Memorial Run takes place on Sunday, Feb 14th, in honour of Detective Garda Colm Horkan, who was killed in the line of duty in June of 2020.
This ‘virtual’ event will take place across Ireland – and in Syria where Corporal Niall Kilcrann is serving with the Irish defence forces 62nd Infantry Group.
He and East Mayo Athletic Club PRO Siobhán Durkan joined Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan on Sunday.
The defence forces personnel taking part in the run in Syria on Sunday also includes Donegal Corporals Paul Burke (Dunkineely) and John Ferguson (Inishowen) – and Sligo’s Elaine Maguire (Carraroe).
