Safety concerns raised over Leitrim potholes

A Leitrim Councillor has expressed concern over the safety of many local or secondary roads which are being neglected due to repair crews not being deployed by the local authority during the Covid-19 restrictions.

Councillor Sean McDermott is highlighting the issue.

The Fine Gael Councillor fears that the state of some roads could be a barrier in emergency services reaching some residents that are living rurally.

The Cathaoirleach of Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim County Council says the issue needs to be addressed immediately
