Ballintogher Village footpaths in dangerous condition

Calls are being made on the Local Authority in Sligo to address footpath issue in Ballintogher Village.

Cathaoirleach of Sligo Drumcliffe, Cllr. Thomas Walsh has highlighted the footpaths on the Dromahair side of the village as being in a ‘poor state’.

Cllr. Walsh says that although Improvements have been made to the village in recent years on the Ballygawley side of the village, the lack of a footpath on the Dromahair side is making it very dangerous for residents to access the village on foot.

The Fine Gael Councillor has called on the local authority to make an application for funding under the ‘Active Travel Scheme.
