Over €45,000 in suspected illegal drugs and cash have been seized by Gardaí in Sligo Town this week in five separate searches.
€4,000 worth of suspected cocaine was found after a vehicle was stopped in Ballytivnan on Monday, that evening €5,500 of illegal medication and almost €1,500 worth of suspected cannabis herb was found at a house in the Cartron area.
On Thursday, in Cleveragh, suspected cannabis herb estimated to be worth €10,000 was discovered and €21,000 of suspected cocaine was found in Cleveragh while a further €2,000 worth of suspected cocaine and €1,250 in cash was seized at a premises on the Clarion Road.
All seized suspected drugs are subject to analysis and no arrests have been made at this time with investigation ongoing.
