Sligo looking for new head coach

Sligo Rugby Club is looking for a new head coach for the 2021/2022 season.

Previous coach Paddy Pearson and his management team stepped down last May at the end of the 2020 campaign.

Pearson had agreed to take charge of the side for the current season, after Sligo’s plans to appoint a new Director of Rugby fell through.

However, the 2020/21 club season was halted last October following increased Covid restrictions and there is still no firm indication yet as to when the season can resume.

Sligo will be operating in Division 2B of the All-Ireland League when it does re-start. The team has enjoyed significant success in recent seasons:

  • 2 Connacht Senior Cups
  • 1 Connacht Senior League,
  • Promotion from AIL Division 2C.

Job description and application details are available here.
