A Sligo/Leitrim TD has expressed concern about the administration of Covid-19 vaccines at Sligo University Hospital.
Sinn Fein TD Deputy Martin Kenny says there are reports of a staff that are on leave being called in to receive the first dose of vaccine while some front line staff are still waiting for their first dose.
It’s also being claimed that administration staff and senior management are receiving vaccination while front line staff are left waiting.
The Sinn Fein spokesperson on Justice and equality says that if these reports are accurate it will not advantageous when it comes to a smooth roll out of the vaccine and will lead to tension among hospital staff:
