Former Sligo Rovers boss out of intensive care



Former Sligo Rovers manager Steve Cotterill  Steve Cotterill is recovering in hospital after spending time in intensive care with coronavirus.

Cotterill, who’s 56, is currently managing League One side Shrewsbury Town.

His assistant, Aaron Wilbraham, confirmed Cotterill has been “really poorly” over the past couple of weeks.

Cotterill managed Sligo Rovers for two seasons in the mid-nineties, guiding them to a third place finish in the league and a League Cup final.

Shrewsbury are due to play  Southampton in their rearranged FA Cup third round tie on Tuesday night.

The original fixture was called off due to a Covid outbreak.
