Friday final day to submit ideas on proposed new N17 routes

People living in the south Sligo area between Knock and Collooney, and those who travel on the N17, are being reminded that this Friday is the last day for submissions on proposed new routes for the road.

Former Sligo councillor Keith Henry is from the parish of Bunninadden and lives in Ballymote, two areas affected by the new proposals.

He says there may have been a lack of discussion about what’s proposed because of the Covid restrictions, no public community gatherings and people not meeting as much as before.

Mr Henry is encouraging people to make their opinions known before Friday’s deadline, regardless of their preference or opposition.

He has been telling Ocean FM News how people can do this during the coming days.
