A Leitrim councillor is calling for more detailed information to be made available to councillors about the gritting and treatment of roads under the council’s Winter Maintenance Plan.
Cllr Brendan Barry wants details of the treatment that’s carried out on roads, route maps detailing lengths of roads treated and untreated, as well as details on lorries, materials and gritters being used..
Cllr Barry says he wants an additional route added to the winter management plan but has been told there is a lack of capacity to do this.
