With temperatures below freezing in many areas throughout the north west this morning, motorists are urged to drive with caution.
Met Eireann says it will be colder locally away from coasts, resulting in widespread hard ground frost and icy surfaces, with potentially dangerous conditions.
Gardai are advising motorists to eave extra time for journeys.
