Donegal TD blasts Government on renewable energy

The government’s wasteful policies are costing the Exchequer millions of euro, that according to the Donegal Independent TD Thomas Pringle.

Deputy Pringle says examples like paying €12.5m to Denmark and €37.5m to Estonia for the statistical transfer of renewable energy sources is draining the resources from the Exchequer.

The Donegal TD says the reason we are paying such large sums is because we are missing our agreed target by between three and four per cent when it comes to renewable energy.

Deputy Pringle says this practice is even more disappointing considering the Green Party are part of the government collation.
