Ahead of the rollout of the New Local Link bus services across North Leitrim early in the New Year, Calls have been made on the Senior Council Engineer in Leitrim to seek funding to upgrade the narrow sections of Regional roads to facilitate the safe delivery of this new service.
The calls were made at this month’s meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim County Council.
The issue was raised by Fianna Fáil councillor Justin Warnock who says that roads need to be improved for the safety of commuters and Drivers of the buses.
