Local TD says vaccine rollout will cause challenges

The rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine will be a major logistical operation.

That’s according to a Sligo Leitrim TD who has also urged people to avail of information from trusted outlets before making any final decision on whether they should avail of the vaccine or not.

Doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine may arrive before the end of the year, if it’s use is approved in the coming days.

Sligo Leitrim TD and Minister for state at the Department of Health Frank Feighan is urging the public to continue to adopt safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 between now and the vaccine becoming freely available:

Some medical experts are predicting it could be 2022 before the vaccine is widely available to the general public.

Minster Feighan says the roll out of the vaccine will be a major operation:

There are fears that many will refuse to take the vaccine, already there information on the internet urging people not to avail of the vaccine.

Minster Feighan is encouraging the general public to seek information from reliable sources before taking any final decision on whether or not they should receive the vaccine.
