Motorists in Sligo, Donegal among 892 caught speeding on Slowdown Day



A motorist travelling at 101 kilometres per hour in an 80 kilometre zone on the N17 near Lavagh in south Sligo was among those detected speeding on National Slowdown Day yesterday.

In Donegal, a motorist was detected travelling at 125km/h in a 100 km zone on the R238 near Burnfoot.

Throughout the country yesterday, Gardai detected a total of 892 vehicles travelling over the speed limit.
