Major meeting today on roll out of vaccines



The government is expected to receive a report today on how Covid-19 vaccines will be rolled out in Ireland once they’re approved.

 

A high-level taskforce is due to complete its work on the logistics of how doses would be distributed.

 

The cabinet’s already decided nursing home residents, frontline healthcare workers and over 70s will be first in line.

 

15 additional deaths were reported yesterday from Covid-19 and 310 new cases were also confirmed.  There were 27 new cases in Donegal, while Sligo and Leitrim reported fewer than five cases each.

 

European regulators are due to decide whether to approve the Pfizer jab by December 29th.
