Road safety concerns at Sooey School

The safety of 121 students attending Sooey National School which is situated between Ballygawley and Geevagh has been called into question due to the lack of adequate road safety measures at the school.

Sligo Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh has called for actions to be taken to address the concerns held by teachers and parents of children attending the school.

The former general election candidate says there are a number of issues including speeding vehicles and the lack of a proper sit down area which are leading to the concerns among the parents and teachers.
