A Sligo Leitrim TD has expressed his concerns over how some sports are allowed to continue during the Covid-19 restrictions but others have been prevented from doing so.
The former Fianna Fail spokesperson on Sport, Deputy Marc MacSharry says common sense is lacking when it comes to the staging of underage sport.
The Sligo based TD says the policy adopted by the National Public Health Emergency Team which allows underage GAA competitions to run but prevents competitions in soccer and rugby taking place is blatant discrimination.
