First covid vaccine will be administered in North on Tuesday

All four of the UK’s chief medical officers are warning health services face a tough three months over the winter period.

That’s despite a coronavirus vaccine being rolled out from next week.

They believe it will only have a ‘marginal impact’ on hospital numbers.

The first vaccine to be administered in Northern Ireland will be given to a health worker on Tuesday morning at Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital.

The first batch of the Covid-19 vaccines sent to Northern Ireland arrived yesterday.
