100,000 euro – the cost of water

Calls have been made on the local authority in Leitrim to explore the possibility of returning to providing water to the residents of the County as an alternative to Irish Water.

The suggestion was made at this week’s annual budget meeting by Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon.

Cllr Fallon claims that some of his constituents in north Leitrim were quoted 100,000 euro to have water supplied by Irish water.

Cllr. Fallon says such quotes will discourage anybody from wanting to live in rural Ireland.
