Wintry weather on way to NW in coming days



Higher ground in the north west could be at risk of some snow in the coming days.

But although snow is not likely to be heavy, severe frosts and wintry showers are expected.

A weather advisory is in effect from from 4pm this afternoon until Friday night with Met Eireann warning that it will be much colder for the rest of the week, with sharp to severe frosts, icy stretches and wintry showers too.
