Donegal Covid figures remaining high

In the latest Covid figures announced yesterday evening, County Donegal had the highest daily rate in the country after Dublin.

And it had the highest number after Dublin and Cork for figures for the past 14 days.

In daily figures for midnight on Saturday, Donegal had 41 cases, Cavan and Sligo had fewer than 5 and Leitrim had none. Dublin had 94.

In the past 14 days, there were 350 in Donegal, 47 in Cavan, 40 in Sligo and 7 in Leitrim.

The Covid-19 vaccine taskforce meet later as the country enters the final day of Level 5 restrictions.
