Covid: Donegal may need extra help to combat virus



One of the country’s leading medics says Donegal may need extra help with its effort to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the county.

It’s as latest daily figures show 41 new cases in Donegal, the second highest after Dublin.

It also has the third highest number of cases for the past 14-days after Dublin and Cork.

The county also has the highest rate of hospital cases, with 43 of the the state’s 257 Covid patients.

Professor Sam McConkey, from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, is suggesting that Covid fighting teams from other counties may need to go to Donegal .
