Tubbercurry GAA to hold virtual cycle to the North pole

Tubbercurry GAA are thinking outside the box this year to raise funds for charity.

Club Members hope, following any and all safety guidelines, to host a 4,000km virtual cycle to the North Pole.

The plan is to setup a number of exercise bikes in Tubbercurry Square, supplied by Health Quarters Gym, and cycle from 10am until 8pm with festive activities on the day such as carol singers, and also broadcasting the All Ireland Final on the ‘Big Screen’ sponsored by Bluebird Care.

The event is due to take place on December 19th and aims to raise funds for the North West Hospice and Pieta House.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Tubbercurry GAA Club Chair, Dermot Gannon says it’s very much a community effort.
