Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association propose planting 10 million trees nationwide

The Irish Natura and Hill farmers Association are proposing the planting of millions trees across the country.

The idea has been submitted to numerous TD’s and aims to plant 10 million native trees for the 10 million people born in the 26 counties since the formation of the state.

INHFA Spokesperson, Vincent Roddy, says it’s a ‘legacy’ project that will be felt years down the line.

Speaking to OceanFM News, he emphasised that the trees would be native species to Ireland.
