European Parliament to vote on proposed lead ammunition ban

The European Parliament is to vote on whether or not to oppose legislation on banning the use of lead ammunition.

The bill proposes to ban the use of the ammunition in wetlands across the EU.

Leitrim Sinn Fein Councillor and farmer, Padraig Fallon, says the cost of modifying guns isn’t worth it.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Fallon says farmers use guns in a practical manner and the proposed ban doesn’t make sense.
