Fermanagh glass company investing in furnaces, upskilling workers



A Derrylin, Co Fermanagh-based foods and drinks industry supply chain is investing more than 870,000 pounds in employee training.

The firm, Encirc, specialises in glass container design, manufacturing, bottling and logistics solutions for the food and drink sector.

Encirc is investing in rebuilding some of the largest furnaces in the world as well as new systems and equipment.

Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company more than 235,000 pounds toward upskilling its team.

Between the Derrylin plant and its sister plant in Cheshire in England, Encirc accounts for more than 35% of container glass for the Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and British markets.
